The park is situated on the Solway Coast at the edge of the village Blitterlees which is on the outskirts of the Victorian seaside town of Silloth. Silloth Golf Course is situated alongside the park.

Surrounding the park is open countryside in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is ideal for walking and cycling, with numerous picturesque villages.
